Stacked Chicken Hash & Baja Sauce

Hmmmmm, how to make chicken hash dead sexy for the eyes and me belly? Well, you simply stack your hash with cantilevered spinach wrap rounds, using baja sauce for culinary glue, top it off with more sauce and, voila! Do you like it? Do you, baby, yeah!?

Valentine's Run

Every Valentines Day in Portland, hundreds of people run along the Willamette river, donating money to Franconi Anemia, a rare blood disorder. Here's me finishing the 5K at a fast-ish 7:50 minute/mile pace :-)

Earth from Above ...

Alexis sent this amazing slideshow series from the astronauts in the Space Station and Shuttle. Amazing!!! Click on the link below. It should lead to the actual slide show presentation.

If this works well with document sharing, I think I'll ad Where the Kids Are...

Thanks, Alexis!!!

PDX Jazz Festival

Connor and I took in the PDX Jazz Festival in its 12th year here. We were treated to a fabulous quintet of Oregon High School All-Stars ranging from a Freshman trumpet prodigy to the Junior stand-up Bass. It was truly impressive - Connor's smile says it all! :-)

San Francisco Stew

Flying back from a quick trip to San Francisco, I noticed the clouds and fog shrouding the bay area. From above, the clouds reminded me of dumplings nestled together, topping off a fabulous chicken stew, you know the one Mom used to make? Enjoy!

San Fran Stew
-----------------
Clustered tufts of dumpling clouds
veil the storied city and bay.

Under the etheral blanket,
corralled by verdant hills,

A melting pot of explorers
simmers with tantalizing dreams.

A comforting concotion, an amazing stew,
rich in heritage, flavorful, nourishing.

Feed your body,
Feed your mind,
Feed your soul...
Feast!
