Baja Halibut Hash with Salsa Verde

Sometimes, it happens... BAM... inspiration! Enjoying a long weekend, Lisa and I decided to make baja fish tacos, a culinary feat in patience as we waited for pickled onions to cure, battered halibut to be infused and beer to be consumed. I'm happy to report that the resulting alchemy was nothing short of dazzling!

The basic story goes like this: take leftover halibut, which had been breaded in buttermilk, hot sauce, cilantro and flour, the baja cream sauce and the salsa verde.

Recipe to follow.

Politico

Hey all.  Just found this site http://mccainpedia.org/

Not sure who everyone is supporting but I love the fact that the politicians are finally getting their heads wrapped around the potential uses of the web.

Shawn Gets A Job!!!

Hey all... Good news from Beantown.

I was extended an offer for a Web Developer position at BzzAgent here in Boston.

The money is good, the room for growth is great and it is a really cool company.

That's it for now...

Sage is a Chick

Sage was in a musical at school called E-I-E-I-Oops. She was one of the chicks, the red one in fact. She is out of school on the 23rd and will be going to Boston June 5 to see her daddy.

Shawn Alert: He has a job interview Monday and possibly a couple more next week. Go get 'em and good luck!
Love,
Alexis

Thai Dinner Party

I'm sure you've all been awaiting my next culinary adventure, which happend to revolve around Steve's (middle) visit to Portland and Thai food. Lisa (far right :-* ) created an amazing appetizer of calamari and cucumber relish on shiso leaves, Ken and Bashi (left of Lisa) brought a lovely coconut thai spice soup, Mercedes (left with Kelly) anchored the meal with a lovely pad thai and chicken curry and I made rice, um, and yummy chinese beans. Mmmmmmmmmmm!

Here's the awesome appetizer Lisa made! Recipes available for the curious...
